EDN Innovation Award Winner!, Best Software Product of the Year
MontaVista Mobilinux 5.0 has been selected by EDN magazine from hundreds of products submitted for an Innovation Award for Best Software Product of the Year. Selection criteria state that the winner "must have demonstrated innovation that resulted in a significant advance in technology" during the past year.
Datamation Product of the Year Nominee
MontaVista Mobilinux 5.0 was nominated by the readers of Datamation magazine for Product of the Year in the category Wireless Software.
Linux Magazine: One of the Top 20 Companies to Watch in 2008
Linux Magazine editors wrote: "We're not sure how the mobile market will shake out, but we're pretty sure that we'll see several players making news next year, and MontaVista will be one of them. . . But the company doesn't just do tiny devices. MontaVista also offers Carrier Grade Linux, which is undoubtably going to be important in 2008. Furthermore, the technological improvements made by MontaVista for CGL will help Linux in many industries, not just telecom."

MontaVista Mobilinux 5.0
MontaVista Mobilinux 5.0 was selected as the Editor's Choice product for the November 2007 issue of Embedded Computing Design magazine. The magazine stated, "MontaVista's Mobilinux is the mobile OS used in 90 percent of Linux-based smart phones. The latest release, Mobilinux 5.0 based on 2.6.21 Linux, enables manufacturers to deliver new mobile gadgets, such as GPS devices, portable medical equipment, and wireless point-of-sale terminals. This release includes new functions, connectivity, and performance improvements, NSA-level security, and battery-extending dynamic power management."

were presented at the Network Industry Awards ceremony in
Birmingham on the 24th of June 2003. The winners were selected
by the judges from nominations by readers of LinuxUser & Developer
magazine.
